I know, I am not a good blogger!

Well, it's hard going back to work. When I am home, I don't want to be on the computer, I want to spend time with Brooke.

So, what's been going on...well, for me. I am back to work and it's very hard to be on the road and away from her, especially when I am not in Florida. I cover Georgia and Alabama too now. I usually end up crying when I am driving back home. I just don't like being away from her at this point in her life. She's too young to not have me at home every night. Oh well, I gotta do what I gotta do. Right now, I am in Tampa with my breastpump and cooler. Yep, I have to travel with that too, but I want to keep her on breastmilk as long as I can. I'd like to make it to a year, but we will see. She gets about 4-8 oz of formula a day, but I prefer to have breastmilk most of the time.

Chris started a new job. Our plan was to have him be a stay at home daddy, but the money just wasn't working out. So, he is doing an incoming Customer Service call center job. He is still in training. His dad, my mom and our neighbor are going to help out with watching little Brooke. We are thankful to have them. There is a chance he might be able to do this from home at some point, so it may all work out in the end.

And, what's going on with Brooke...well, she's 4 months old now. We just went to the pediatrician yesterday. She weighs 13 lbs 8 oz. She is 25.5 inches long. She got her 4 month shots. She cried, but just for a moment or two, and calmed down with us holding her. She is NOT a napper and the doctor told us she may never be a napper! AHHH! She wakes up around 7:30 every morning and goes to bed around 10 or 10:30. She usually is awake all day, sometimes she cat naps, sometimes she takes a good nap, but mostly, she keeps her eyes open all day!!!! It's hard for us, because we don't get a break! She tried rice cereal with a spoon today and yesterday, but doesn't seem to be the biggest fan. We will try some oatmeal cereal at the end of the week when I am back home.

I don't remember if I wrote or not, but we visited the orthopaedist again and Brooke had another xray. The doctor said everything looked good (after asking us AGAIN if she is a girl or boy---wearing an all pink outfit!), and wants to see her back when she is walking! WHAT...I can't even imagine that yet! She isn't rolling over yet, but she is getting close. What I thought and our pediatrician confirmed is that her harness delayed her with this. She spent a lot of time on her back with the harness and couldn't even try to roll on her side, or have us put her on her side, so we are working on it and hopefully will have a baby rolling over within the month.

I don't have any pictures for this post because I have not uploaded pics in awhile, and I am on the road...so maybe for the next post.

I am starving. Must eat dinner. Bye for now.

Liz- I'm sure that must be tough to be away like that. Even though you know she is in great hands, it's hard to not be near her. Sorry. You are doing a great job as a mom, I can tell! She is such a beautiful baby girl. It just gets better and better, too! Hard to imagine, huh?! Hope you are able to enjoy your holidays and celebrating Brooke's 1st Christmas! How fun.
