Well, from what I hear, if I am about to embark on this trip called Parenthood, I should be starting a blog, because it is a good way for my family and friends to keep track of what is going on, and it definitely saves me from having to remember everyone on the email list.
So, to start, here's what you should know about me.
I am just about to turn 29 years old, been married for almost 3.5 years, but have been with Chris for almost 13.5 years. We have two dogs, we bought a house in November 2006 and did a lot of work to it since then. We live in Melbourne, the city where Chris grew up. I didn't think I would come back here, but it seems that everyone does.
We found out we were expecting our first child on November 23, 2007. I just couldn't believe it, and I couldn't keep it in, so we told everyone right away...yes, at 4.5 weeks gestation! Thankfully, everything has been okay with the pregnancy and it was okay to tell everyone right away. Now, I am just about 23 weeks pregnant and we still have a lot to do for preparation...we still have time, right? We don't know if Baby White (or Barry White, or It White) is a boy or a girl. I really don't want to know, although I do think it would make planning a bit easier, but I am excited for Chris to come out of the delivery room and tell our family the surprise...Chris is definitely thinking boy, and I am definitely thinking girl. Or maybe that isn't called thinking, maybe it is called hoping...
